Arsene Wenger is planning to hand new signings Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi their full debuts against Southampton following their combined £52m move a fortnight ago.

Lucas joined up with the squad immediately and has been in full training since signing, while Mustafi has been away with Mesut Ozil on international duty.

While our issues at centre-back are more pressing despite Rob Holding’s impressive display, starting Lucas would represent a big statement from Wenger.
