Ashley Cole was given a tough task to combine the two most successful teams he’s played in…

Ashley Cole included four of his ex-Arsenal teammates in a combined XI as he was tasked to choose from the Invincible side and Chelsea double-winning team in 2010.

An honest guest on Monday Night Football, Cole shared many of his feelings regarding his untimely exit from Arsenal and the pain he still harbours from the falling out.

We were his boyhood club and he came through the ranks to become the best in the world in his position, winning two league title and three FA Cups with us.

However, after a bitter contract dispute, Cole left the club in 2006 in a swap-deal which included William Gallas coming the other way.

While the Frenchman’s time at Arsenal was forgetful, Cole won every trophy available to him at Chelsea which only intensified the animosity towards him.

So, when asked to pick a combined XI made up of the Invincibles team and the double-winning Chelsea side of 2010, it was interesting to see where his loyalties lie.

Cole picked more Chelsea players than our legends, with the shock decision of leaving out Dennis Bergkamp in favour of Didier Drogba.

Also, given his decision to go with a 4-4-2 system, the England centurion decided that Florent Malouda was more suited to right-wing than Freddie Ljungberg.

Check out his full team selection in the video above.
