Arsenal’s Cohen Bramall given high praise…
Arsenal new boy Cohen Bramall has been given the ultimate praise by his former manager at Hednesford Town who believes that the full-back can follow in the footsteps of Jamie Vardy.
Liam McDonald recalls signing Bramall from a fellow non-league team and has backed the 20-year-old to take the whirlwind in his stride at Arsenal.
Signed for £40,000 last month, Bramall has never played at a professional academy and was spotted by the former Reading manager – and current Arsenal scout – Brian McDermott.
Vardy’s sensational story last season shun the spotlight on non-league football and Bramall has certainly benefited from that.
“He’s a natural athlete and he’s got a great opportunity to develop that now,” McDonald told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He’ll take it in his stride. I’m very positive he’ll have a similar impact to Jamie Vardy.”
If Bramall can achieve half of what Vardy has done at Leicester City, then he’ll certainly prove to be one of the biggest bargains in football history.
