Alexis Sanchez not an option for Bayern Munich…
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has effectively ruled out a move for Alexis Sanchez after stating that the German giants are not prepared the hefty wages the Chilean is demanding.
Alexis is 12 months away from being able to walk away on a free, yet it seems we’re demanding a huge fee for the Chilean while his wage demands exceed that of many of the top stars in world football.
The 28-year-old is demanding more than £300,000 per week, a package which exceeds anything currently being earned by Bayern Munich’s current stars.
Hoeness described Alexis’ demands as “not feasible”, especially due to Bayern’s conscious financial philosophy.
“I’m not on the operational side. [Chairman] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has not yet come to me, so the matter doesn’t seem to be too urgent with him,” Hoeness told reporters.
“A €20m (£17.5m) salary is probably not feasible.”
That salary, along with the price tag Alexis’ transfer will demand, it seems Bayern have realised that the Chilean really isn’t a priority for them.
Also, if Alexis were to arrive after demanding that sort of financial package, Bayern know all their other top players would be having their agents knocking at the door asking questions.
With Bayern out of the picture, it seems Manchester City are now the only feasible option for Alexis.
