David Ornstein reports live from the Arsenal AGM...
BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein attended the Annual General Meeting at Arsenal which took place on Monday morning as the board were quizzed by a few shareholders.
While the club no longer provides video footage of the event, senior journalists were present and Ornstein gives us an update on the most pressing issue of the afternoon.
Much of the focus is on our ability to re-sign some of our key players, and a question was put to Gazidis regarding the futures of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin.
Without showing their hand, it seems as though the club are confident of keeping hold of our best talent.
“Ivan Gazidis did point out that Arsenal have a pretty strong record in renewing player contracts,” David Ornstein reported.
“They pointed out in that AGM, both Ivan Gazidis and Arsene Wenger, that the club is under no pressure to sell.
“I think a lot of it will come down to success on the field,” The BBC reporter concluded.
The noises coming out from the club are reassuring, and hopefully, we can tie down our best players for the foreseeable future.
