Cesc Fabregas: Without Arsene Wenger, I Wouldn’t Be Here

Cesc Fabregas will never forget Arsene Wenger’s influence…

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has once again professed his love for Arsene Wenger, which he may find more comfortable to do now given that Jose Mourinho is no longer his manager.

Wenger signed Fabregas from Barcelona at the age of 16 and the Spaniard hasn’t looked back since. Scoring his first goal for us later that year, Fabregas went on to partner – and replace – Patrick Vieira at the heart of our midfield.

The way in which he departed, not to mention the colours he currently dons, will no doubt leave a bad taste in Arsenal fans’ mouths.

“Arsene Wenger was probably the most important (manager) because he gave me the real chance,” Fabregas told FourFourTwo.

“I will always consider him as a second father.”

While Fabregas wants to retain the close relationship with the boss, it wouldn’t be fair to assume that Wenger may have been hurt by how his trust was betrayed by the former Barcelona man.

Not to mention the fact that he went to London to win the title for Jose Mourinho.

Check out Fabregas’s words on Wenger in the video above.
