Chuba Akpom: I’ll Play Anywhere For Arsenal, Even In Goal

Arsenal’s Akpom: I’ll play anywhere…

Chuba Akpom was given a rare start for Arsenal in the EFL cup win against Nottingham Forrest and the forward produced his most solid display to date.

Having spent last season on loan at Hull City to little avail, Akpom chose to stay this season and it seems that his football will come mainly in the cup competitions.

Starting on the left flank, it looked like the England U21 star has been learning from his friend Alex Iwobi and why he’s become a first-team regular.

Akpom needed to learn how to integrate with the team play and focus less on making an individual contribution, which he showed Arsene Wenger yesterday.

“Right now I’ll play anywhere, I’ll play in goal,” Akpom told Arsenal Player.

“The feeling of just going out there with an Arsenal top is the best feeling.”
