Close Up: Mohamed Elneny Discusses His Debut Campaign At Arsenal

Arsenal’s only outfield signing this season was that of Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel in January and the 23-year-old has slotted in nicely.

Coming in during a time where we were suffering from an injury crisis in central midfield, Elneny came in to sure up the side and off calmness on and off the ball.

Standing at 6ft, Elneny brings presence to our midfield and while he may not be considered an automatic starter for next season, Arsene Wenger has strength in depth in a position which has caused us many issues in the past.
