Craig Burley backs Wenger…

Former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley has offered his backing to Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal boss came under fire this week for his altercation with referee Anthony Taylor during our heated clash against Burnley.

Wenger gave the fourth official a slight nudge after being sent off for protesting a penalty awarded to Burnley in injury time and has been charged with improper conduct by the FA.

As we await the punish the Frenchman shall receive, a number of senior journalists have been attempting to influence the FA with their outlandish claims.

However, Burley is not one of them and instead decided to focus on the quality of refereeing.

“Sod the referees, who cares about them?” Burley said on ESPN FC.

“I’m not condoning it, but all these ex-referees are like big school kids. They wanna stop worrying about a little push on a referee, start getting some bloody decisions right.”

Wenger has attacked the PGMO on a number of occasions this season and they seem more concerned with protecting their own than actually delivering on quality.

The number of horrendous decisions taking place each week is beyond belief, with consistency long gone among the organisation.
