Tristan Panduro on trial at Arsenal…

Arsenal continue to look to the future with reports emerging that Danish wonderkid Tristan Panduro is on trial at the club ahead of his 16th birthday, the Danish Scout reports.

Currently at Champions League side FC Copenhagen, the Danish U16 international has been starring in the UEFA Youth League this season, sharing a group with Manchester United.

Panduro is in the same Danish youth team as Hale End star Chido Obi Martin who made headlines last month after scoring 10 goals against Liverpool U16s in a single match.

Like Obi Martin, Panduro is also eligible to play for England, though he seems dedicated to Denmark at this present moment. According to the report, the imposing midfielder was at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday as he watched Mikel Arteta’s side produce a wonderful display against Brighton in a 2-0 win.

The Daily Mail reported last month that Manchester City are also interested in Panduro, though it looks like we have stolen a march on our rivals.

While footage on his game is limited for obvious reasons, you can’t help but be amazed at Panduro’s physical presence with the midfielder comfortably above 6ft at 15 years of age.

Arsenal’s academy has undergone a shake-up in recent years under the tutelage of Per Mertesacker and we’re beginning to see the fruits of that with the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly on the cusp of the first-team.

However, adding prestigious talent from abroad has also been in our DNA and birthed some wonderful footballers in the past.
