David Seaman is backing Wenger to stay at Arsenal…

Arsenal legend David Seaman believes that Arsene Wenger wouldn’t be a good fit for England and hopes that the boss will take up a boardroom position at the Emirates Stadium once he retires.

Seaman, who played under Wenger for five years, seemed to be speaking from a biased viewpoint given his allegiance to Arsenal.

According to The Telegraph, Wenger is the FA’s first choice to replace Roy Hodgson following England’s disastrous Euro 2016 campaign.

“He’s getting on a bit and hopefully, he’ll just move upstairs at Arsenal when he’s ready,” Seaman told the interviewer.

Wenger is entering his 20th season as Arsenal manager which could also be his final year with his deal ending next summer.

Check out Seaman’s thoughts on the rumours linking Wenger to the England job in the clip above.
