Former Man United and Spurs striker Teddy Sheringham included Arsenal legends David Seaman, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp in an XI of the best players he’s played with and against.

In a slight twist, given that the Fantasy Football show usually just request an XI of players you’ve played alongside, Sheringham picked a strong outfit.

Sheringham chose Seaman ahead of Manchester United stalwart Peter Schmeichel, while he partnered Patrick Vieira alongside arch nemesis Roy Keane.

The Dutch master Bergkamp was placed in a three-pronged attack floating behind lone striker Ronaldo – the Brazilian one.

Speaking on Vieira, Sheringham said: “You need players like this in your team in the Premier League and this is why Arsenal are struggling at the moment, and maybe even Man Utd a little bit.”

And when asked why he included arguably our greatest ever player, Bergkamp, he explained: “Class act, harder than people give him credit for as well, a nasty player and scored fantastic goals.”

It’s really hard to argue with such an XI and with his coaching background in recent years, Sheringham has clearly thought of putting together the best team rather than just naming 11 flashy players.

Check out the video above as he explains his XI which can be seen in full below.
