Paolo Bandini feels Wenger must be saved from himself…
Football Writer and Arsenal season ticket holder Paolo Bandini has stated that Arsene Wenger may well remain Gunners boss unless the likes of Stan Kroenke and Ivan Gazidis front up and make a decision.
We sunk to a new low on Monday night after Crystal Palace, a team in a relegation trouble, dismantled us in such easy fashion to leave our top four hopes in tatters.
The team many felt we could realistically is Liverpool, and the Reds are now nine points ahead of us with all of their traditional big games behind him.
For Bandini, however, it is now time to call on the Arsenal hierarchy to finally make a stand and earn their money.
“It feels like this is a cycle that isn’t going to be broken until something changes at the top,” Bandini told ESPN.
“No one is taking control of this situation outside of Arsene Wenger. Who’s going to take the decision away from him?
The silence at boardroom level is boarding on suicidal at this point and if the situation continues, it may resort to Arsenal fans leading a full revolt and demanding that the ownership of the club changes too.
Ivan Gazidis was present at the game on Monday night, yet what wonders if he’s the slightest bit bothered about what he witnessed during the 90 minutes.
Sir Chips Keswick is another board member we’ve heard from in recent weeks, yet he seemed rather relaxed about the whole situation.
Each passing day, Alisher Usmanov is looking like an attractive proposition for our club.
