Football Writers Journalist: This Could Be The Season Spurs Reign Over Arsenal

By The Editor

Football Writers Podcast predict a shift in power…

As the north London derby edges closer, it wouldn’t feel right if a few reporters didn’t once again predict that this would be the year Spurs finish above Arsenal.

It’s usually phrased as the season ‘the balance of power shifts in north London’. As the gap between us and our main rivals shortened, the mainstream press have been willing the team from Middlesex to finish above us.

Arsene Wenger has never finished below Spurs, though the journalists on the Football Writers Podcast seem to be regurgitating the familiar theme.

“Is this the season the balance of power in north London shifts?” Mike Calvin asked David Walker from the Daily Mirror.

“I think it can be. My only concern for Tottenham is, have they mentally got over the scars after last season’s collapse,” David Walker said on BT Sport.

With Tottenham suffering from a few injuries and a number of our stars brimming with confidence, we can certainly deliver a damaging blow to their title hopes.
