Dayot Upamecano says France are wary of Bukayo Saka…
France defender Dayot Upamecano has dubbed Bukayo Saka as England’s danger man as the two sides prepare to clash in the World Cup quarter-finals, the Daily Mail reports.
Saka is England’s joint top-scorer at this year’s tournament and is level with a number of players as they chase Kylian Mbappe – who leads the scoring charts.
The Hale End graduate bagged a brace in England’s opening game in Qatar and was fully rested for the final group game against Wales.
His place in the starting XI was once again brought into question before the last-16 clash against Senegal, but the 21-year-old netted as Gareth Southgate’s men saw off the African champions.
Now, with reigning world champions on the horizon, Saka’s place in the team looks assured and England’s right channel is set to be a crucial subplot.
In the opposite dugout, Les Bleus have their eyes on the Arsenal man.
“He likes to cut inside,” Upamecano said about Saka.

“We’ll have to make as few errors as possible. We’ll be ready.”
If Southgate operates against his natural instincts, England can take the game to France and exploit their left flank, given that Mbappe offers little protection for Theo Hernandez.
It would allow Saka the freedom of that space and he could cause France serious damage.
