Gary Neville launches attack on Arsenal fans…
Gary Neville has seemingly taken aim at any Arsenal fan for voicing their displeasure about what’s happening at the club and called out fan channel ArsenalFanTV.
During the commentary of the game at Chelsea, Neville labelled one fan an “idiot” for unveiling a banner during the final moments of the game calling for Arsene Wenger to leave.
A number of fans share his view and feel that the time has come for Wenger to step aside, but Neville doesn’t agree and launched a staunch defence of the Frenchman.
Despite previously labelling Wenger as “arrogant” and “naive” in the past, he clearly believes that the boss is the right man to take us forward.
“If Arsene Wenger was Jurgen Klopp, we’d be saying he’s doing a good job,” Neville argued.
“I walked outside the Chelsea ground yesterday and there were a couple of these ArsenalFanTV camera things and it was embarrassing listening to it and watching it.
“I was watching Arsenal fans slating and slanging into him and I thought: ‘he doesn’t deserve that’.”
Looking at it objectively, Neville has called Arsene Wenger out for exactly the same issues Arsenal fans have deployed in recent years, yet he insults their opinion.
For me, it’s simple. He’s a Manchester United fan who’s identified that all our issues lead back to Arsene Wenger and he’s desperate for him to remain. Because as long as Wenger is in charge, we’re not a threat to Man United reclaiming their title.
