Arsenal pair Shkodran Mustafi and Emi Martinez spoke to the F2 duo at London Colney about Arsene Wenger with the Frenchman in his 20th year as Gunners boss.

Wenger is under the most pressure of his Arsenal tenure this season and there remains a big chance that the boss will walk away when his contract ends this summer.

After signing a new three-year deal in 2014 off the back of our FA Cup triumph, Wenger was supposed to lead us into a new age of increased financial power and challenges for the biggest trophies.

However, we’re yet again out of the title race before the clocks go forward to mark the start of the summer period, yet Wenger retains the respect of his squad.

“What I learnt in this club, he’s not just a coach, he’s everything for this club,” Martinez told the freestyle sensations.

“He tells you what he sees; if it’s something good he’ll tell you, and if it’s something bad he’ll tell you as well,” Mustafi added.

When I hear players speaking about Wenger in this manner, it almost contradicts everything we see on the pitch over the past decade.

While the players have changed, the mistakes have continued on a similar pattern and one wonders why that is if Wenger is vocal about the team’s flaws.
