Hollywood director Spike Lee has revealed that he is an Arsenal fan while speaking to Labour MP and self-proclaimed Spurs fan David Lammy, as per Joe.co.uk.

Lee joins a number of well-established list of famous entertainers who’ve picked Arsenal as their favourite football team after Jay-Z claimed that he was also a Gooner.

The rapper once toyed with the idea of purchasing shares in the club and while that notion has passed, he recently did a commercial deal with his club through his streaming service TIDAL.

A deal worth £1m-per year was announced in June which will see our players create playlists for the streaming service as well as other promotional campaigns.

Just like Jay-Z, it was Gunners icon Thierry Henry who drew them to the club, the Frenchman was the definition of elegance.

“I’m going to the game tomorrow!” Lee said to David Lammy when he brought up the topic of Arsenal.

A weirdly bemused Lammy asked how the Malcom X director came to support the Gunners and he simply replied: “Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry. You can’t blame for me that, though.”

We’re still the biggest club in London. Lammy would do well to remember that.
