Arsenal train ahead of Brentford clash…
As the international break draws to a close until March, the Arsenal squad returned to training ahead of the London derby against Brentford on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta and his medical staff would’ve welcomed the timing of the break given the number of players who were on the treatment table in our last Premier League clash.
Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus have returned to full fitness over the past fortnight, with the latter getting 90 minutes under his belt for Brazil in their defeat against Argentina this week.
However, there were some notable absentees from the training session and with players returning from all over the world, it’s no surprise that their schedules are staggered.

According to Sky’s James Green, our Brazilian trio Jesus, Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli were training indoors having returned late from their international excursions. They were joined by William Saliba who played 90 minutes for France in their 2-2 draw against Greece on Tuesday.
Arsenal open training update:
♦️ Gabriel, Martinelli, Saliba and Jesus all trained inside.
♦️Odegaard ok after injuries and training outside
♦️White muscle injury, stayed inside
♦️Smith-Rowe and Partey still a few weeks away#AFC #Arsenal— James Green (@JamesGreenInUK) November 23, 2023
Ben White was also absent from the training pictures as he continues to recover from a ‘muscle injury’ which kept him out of the game against Burnley.
It remains to be seen if White is scheduled to resume full training on Friday which would be required if he’s to make the matchday squad for the clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.
