Former Premier League midfielder Jimmy Bullard has a quite unconventional theory on Arsene Wenger’s tenure at Arsenal, stating that the Frenchman will be manager until he passes away.

Bullard, while previewing the new Premier League campaign, was asked if this will be Wenger’s final hurrah given that the Frenchman is entering the final year of his deal.

Having been at the club for 21 years, Wenger is entering his 20th full season as the Gunners boss and his extended stay has caused a split among fans.

For Bullard, however, the end is not in sight.

“I’ve totally turned now,” Bullard explained.

“I think he’s going to be there ’till he dies, basically.”

The former Fulham and Wigan Athletic midfielder believes that the club is shaped in Wenger’s image too deeply for him to just walk away.
