Jurgen Klopp Lists Arsenal’s Many Threats & Speaks On How He Plans To Contain Them

Jurgen Klopp well aware of Arsenal’s threats…

Jurgen Klopp stated that it would be a mistake to solely focus on the returning Alexis Sanchez given the wealth of talent in the Arsenal squad ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Klopp has a positive record against us since his arrival in England, which included the Reds doing the league double over us for the first time in decades.

Alexis looks set to return to the starting XI after an abdominal strain kept him out of our first two fixtures, and Klopp thinks the Chilean is impossible to mark.

Not only that, the former Dortmund boss believes an obsession on Alexis will lead to one of our many other attacking talents hurting his side.

“The difficulty with Alexis Sanchez is that he’s pretty much involved in each situation, he is not fixed in one position,” Klopp told the press.

“Wherever he is, he is very dominant; coming deep, half-space, wing, centre. [He is a] world-class player. That makes it difficult.

“If you are too much concentrated on him then, 100 per cent, Mesut Ozil will show up, [Olivier] Giroud, [Alexandre] Lacazette, [Theo] Walcott – oh my God – [Danny] Welbeck, I don’t want to forget anybody. Then [Aaron] Ramsey shoots from 25 yards or whatever or [Granit] Xhaka shoots from 40 yards – that’s all possible.”

I don’t know why, but I get the impression that Klopp knows our team well.

The German boss has always been an admirer of Arsene Wenger and he seems determined to not let complacency creep into his side’s game.
