Kyle Walker regrets clash with Arsenal coach…

England international Kyle Walker revealed that he’ll reach out to Arsenal coach Nicholas Jover in an attempt to bury the hatchet after the two clashed following Arsenal’s win against Man City, the Daily Mail reports.

Walker and Jover clashed following the game after the Arsenal set-piece coach extended his hand to greet the 33-year-old, though the defender took exception to it and reacted aggressively.

Jover worked at City before being appointed by Mikel Arteta in 2021, and many onlookers were rather confused by why a handshake led to a mini-brawl.

According to Walker, Jover had previously rejected shaking hands with Man City’s players in previous fixtures when they got the better of us.

The former Spurs defender admitted that losing the game led to his reaction, and regrets what transpired after the game.

“I don’t like losing,” Walker told the press ahead of England’s qualifier against Italy.

“A couple of matches before, Nico, who worked for Man City, he did not want to shake hands when we beat them before,’ said Walker.

“When we lost, he wanted to shake my hand and I did not take it lightly. Simple as that.

“I haven’t been in touch because I have been concentrating on England but I will probably reach out to him, definitely. I will say, it was probably a bit too much.”

While commentators continue to give Man City excuses as to why the result went the way it did in an attempt to minimise our achievement, it’s clearly not registering at The Etihad.

We’ve gone from condescending pats on the back from their players and staff to clashes with our coaching staff over a handshake – they’re rattled.

This is also what the Premier League needs, needle between the title challengers after years of having to endure a love affair between Liverpool and Man City.
