MNF pair Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville believe that Liverpool are still favourites to defeat Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday despite their heavy defeat to Leicester City this week.

Carragher cited Liverpool’s inconsistency as an issue for his boyhood club but believes that it’d prove him right when they go and beat us on Saturday.

With their top four hopes in question, Neville conquered and added that the reds could “easily” defeat us at Anfield given their record against us at home.

If Neville was to actually check his stats, Liverpool have only beaten us once in our last nine league visits to Anfield, dating back to a 1-1 draw in 2007.

We’ve beaten them three times at the famous ground since then, while our only defeat was the heavy 5-1 thrashing in 2014, with the rest of the games ending in draws.

Days before our drab second-leg tie against Bayern Munich, it could turn out to be a career-defining week for Arsene Wenger.
