Craig Burley unimpressed by Arsenal’s comeback…

ESPN pundit Craig Burley remains unimpressed by Arsenal and feels we’re no closer to winning the title following our dramatic 4-3 win against Leicester City in our opening Premier League clash.

We hosted the former Premier League champions at the Emirates on Friday night and it very nearly turned into yet another horror show on the opening day for Arsenal.

After taking the lead within two minutes through debutant Alexandre Lacazette, the visitors quickly turned the tables on us and were leading 2-1 before we knew it.

A brief comeback led by Danny Welbeck was short lived after Jamie Vardy made it 3-2, although a sensational rescue act was achieved by substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.

Burley feels the game showed familiar failings in Arsenal’s makeup, and he feels that nothing has changed in north London.

“I kinda think nothing’s changed,” Burley said after the game.

“I’m not less convinced or more convinced about Arsenal.

“I think they got out of jail, I think Leicester will be kicking themselves.”

Burley was one of a few public figures openly calling for Wenger’s head after a poor league campaign last term, and it seems he has no intentions of changing his narrative.
