Omari Hutchinson set to hand Arsenal some additional income…

Former Arsenal academy product Omari Hutchinson is set to move to Ipswich Town in a move reported to be worth £22 million, with the Gunners set to receive a percentage due to an active sell-on clause, Fabrizio Romano reports.

Hutchinson, though he never made a senior appearance for us, was one of the highly-regarded players emerging from Hale End and the development squads.

However, given that the 20-year-old left the club at the end of his contract, Arsenal were due a compensation fee and seemingly agreed to a sell-on clause.

The value of that clause hasn’t been disclosed and will only be known by the parties involved, but it does give the club an FFP boost ahead of the PSR accounting deadline at the end of the month.

It remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta and Edu take advantage of this unexpected windfall before the end of June with the club preferring to do business in the new accounting year.

It was revealed earlier this week that Arteta and a number of our players are currently in Marbella for a pre pre-season training camp ahead our trip to America next month.

Edu has also travelled with the group as fans await for our summer plans to ramp up.
