Oxlade-Chamberlain previews Chelsea clash…

Arsenal forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes keeping 10-men on the pitch against the Chelsea is key to standing a chance in defeating them in the league for the first time since 2011.

Diego Costa proved to be our nemesis last season, succeeding in getting Gabriel and Per Mertesacker sent off in our two fixtures against the Blues.

As well as keeping our full quota of players on the pitch, we haven’t even scored a goal against a Chelsea side in a competitive game since 2013.

“I think it’d be nice to keep 11-men against Chelsea, this time around,” The Ox told Arsenal Player.

“Generally speaking in the last few games we’ve played them it’s always a big clash with a lot of emotions.”

The 21-year-old can expect to make an impact from the bench against Chelsea after starting in the League Cup on Tuesday night with Alex Iwobi now the favoured option on the left-wing.
