Manchester United star Paul Pogba stated that he always looks forward to playing against Arsenal given the history surrounding the fixture, the Frenchman told BT Sport.

Pogba is regarded as the leader of this Man United side and his absence was keenly felt during the last month as he recovered from a hamstring injury.

Arsenal vs Man United may not carry the same intensity as he did during the early 2000s when both clubs were battling it out for the title, but Saturday’s clash carries some weight.

Mourinho knows that a defeat effectively rules the Red Devils out of the title race with Man City set to visit Old Trafford next week, while a win for us puts us a point behind the second-placed side.

For Pogba, though, playing Arsenal will always be one of the standout fixtures.

“Playing against Arsenal, it’s always a big game, it’s enjoyable,” Pogba told BT Sport.

“You’re playing against one of the biggest teams in the Premier League and in the world. Good players, so it’s a big challenge for me and for the team.

“I know there is one friend of mine who’s gonna watch this: Thierry Henry.”

A midfield pairing of Pogba and Nemanja Matic carries a certain level of power and it remains to be seen of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey can match their physicality.
