Ray Parlour on Eddie Howe rumours…

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes that we should be targeting a more established manager than Eddie Howe to replace Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman retires.

The Sun reported earlier this week that Howe was the preferred candidate to replace Arsene Wenger which was fuelled further by our decision to loan him Jack Wilshere.

The Arsenal legend states that the Arsenal job may come too soon for him and wants Arsenal to attempt to get a big character like Diego Simeone.

“I just think that it might be a little bit too big for him at the time,” the ‘Romford Pele’ said.

“Maybe more of a Simeone might be more suited to Arsenal.”
