Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson scored his second Bundesliga goal in his third league appearance since joining Hoffenheim on a season-long loan.

After signing a new long-term contract in August, Unai Emery sanctioned a loan move away for Nelson despite our lack of genuine options out wide.

We lost the likes of Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and never really replaced them with similar players, something we’re still suffering from.

Julian Nagelsmann, the Hoffenheim head coach, was heavily linked to the Arsenal post last summer which made it interesting to see him go for a Gunners starlet to fill a void in his squad.

Former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry was on loan at Hoffenheim last season and the German manager was looking for a direct forward to replace him, and he felt Nelson was that guy.

Check out Nelson’s strike in the video above and should he immediately challenge for a first-team slot once he returns?
