Roy Keane: We’ll See How Arsenal Perform When They’ve Got Gloves On

Roy Keane on Arsenal and Theo Walcott…
Roy Keane was in his usual mood following our 2-0 win against Basel in the Champions League with the former Manchester United stating that Arsenal still had a lot to prove this season.
Theo Walcott bagged a brace to continue his sensational form at the start of this season; however, Keane is far from convinced by the forward – or Arsenal’s – chances this season.
Keane emphasised that the test for us will be coming over the next few months, and seemed to make a tongue-in-cheek comment about our form during the winter months.
“Listen, he’s had a good week, the guy needs to relax,” Keane said on ITV.
“The crunch games are coming up for them over the next few months when the cold nights come in and we’ll see half the Arsenal players with their gloves on.”
As an old-fashioned player, it seems Keane believes there’s a correlation between those who wear gloves in the winter and their questionable performances during those months.
I seem to recall a number of our 2003/04 team wearing gloves on a consistent basis – they turned out alright.
