‘Max Allegri is better than Conte’…

Serie A journalist Mina Rzouki has revealed that Juventus manager Max Allegri is likely to leave the club this summer and hailed him as the best tactician in Italy, ahead of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

Her statement was met with some surprise by her fellow guests given that Conte has led his Chelsea side clear at the top of the Premier League by deploying a vibrant 3-4-3 system.

Allegri, who is a reported target of ours if Arsene Wenger calls it a day this summer (via ESPN), has taken Conte’s former team onto a new level both domestically and in Europe.

The 49-year-old went to the Champions League final in his first year and has continued Juventus’ domination in Serie A while playing a wonderful brand of football.

“When it comes to Allegri, for me, there’s no better tactician in Italy,” Mina told 5 Live.

“I would go so far as to say that he is a bit better than Antonio Conte.”

That opinion of Allegri is certainly music to our ears given that we require a tactician capable of operating in the modern era and competing in the big games.

With the likeliness of the last two managerial winners of the Premier League emanating from Italy increasing by the week, bringing Allegri in won’t do our chances any harm.
