Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has challenged Mikel Arteta’s men to go on a relentless run of results if they’re to overtake league leaders Liverpool this season, WION reports.

While we’re currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, three of those games ended in draws in games where we deserved to win.

It has seen us cut the gap to the top of the league to six points, though Liverpool have a game in hand following the postponement of the Merseyside derby.

Our title charge last season was carried by our sensational form in the second half of the campaign, winning 16 out of 18 games as we took the race to the final day.

It will take a similar run this time too, though it will have to be done without some key players as Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain sidelined with big injuries.

“There is a chance,” Campbell said when asked if he feels Arsenal can still win the league.

“There’s a lot of games in and around December. The January transfer window, games, FA Cup – there could be slight slip-ups here and there.

“The main thing is now that Arteta and Arsenal gotta go on a run. They’ve gotta stay on this relentless run and, hopefully, one or two clubs have some bad results or they have a bad run.

“That has to happen!”

What it takes to win a Premier League title in the modern era is no secret, but those intangibles have not been going our way this season.

We were robbed of many points by atrocious refereeing decisions earlier this season and have also had big injuries to our key players.

Arteta has often said our success will be linked to having a full squad available and one can only imagine what went through his mind when Saka pulled up with a hamstring injury.

At the very least, we’re in a position to try to win the league—regardless of how unlikely it may be.
