Aaron Ramsey calls for change…
Aaron Ramsey admitted that changes are required at Arsenal if we’re to challenge for the Premier League after our humbling defeat against Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp steamrolled us at Anfield in a game which may be the camel that broke the straw’s back in terms of the way we’re run as a football club.
It’s been a shambolic transfer window, as many feared with rumours rife about outgoings and vert little being said in terms of recruitment.
A few players who’re linked with moves aware came under heavy criticism for their lack of effort, and Ramsey agreed that changes must be made.
“We’re very disappointed with the way we performed but we have to accept it,” Ramsey told reporters after the game.
“We’re sorry to the fans that came up – it’s not good enough and we have to do something about it.
“We’re going to have to change something if we’re to compete this year.
“Liverpool showed what it’s going to have to take to compete for the Premier League and we’re going to have to do something about it if we’re going to do that.”
The difference between the two sides was profound, despite our squad boasting players who’ve considerably higher price-tags than the squad available to Jurgen Klopp.
With the squad away on international duty for a fortnight, it’s difficult to see too much changing before our next fixture.
