The high-profile journalists who featured in this week’s Sunday Supplement were baffled by Arsenal’s inability to handle a player of Andy Carroll’s qualities, six years after he downed us at the Emirates for Newcastle United.
Sam Wallace of The Telegraph claimed that Arsene Wenger stated that he didn’t expect Carroll to start the game, despite openly admitting that everybody was aware of our weakness in the air.
