Arsene Wenger situation is “bonkers”…

The Sun’s Shaun Custis has labelled the managerial situation at Arsenal as “bonkers” given that no senior figure can decide Arsene Wenger’s future for him.

It was always expected that the boss would decide when he stepped down, but the delay on his announcement is clearly affecting the results on the pitch.

We’ve lost four of our last six games and it seems as though the players can’t be bothered to play for a manager they believe will not be here next season.

The whole nation seems to be crying out for a definitive decision, with other clubs defiant in their theory to not allow managerial uncertainty to linger.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich forced a decision from Pep Guardiola six months before his eventual departure, while Barcelona have already clarified that Luis Enrique will step down this summer.

“They’re saying again this week that ‘the board want to know what he’s going to do’, isn’t that Arsenal’s problem all over?” Custis asked his colleagues at Sunday Supplement.

“He’s going to decide whether he stays or not despite what’s going on at the moment, which is bonkers!”
