Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka has committed his future to the club by signing a long-term contract extension and the 18-year-old labelled the decision as a simple one given that he feels at home.

Saka is one of the brightest talents to emerge from our famed Hale End academy in recent years and has come on leaps and bounds under Mikel Arteta.

Whether he’s drafted in at left-back or in the forward line, Saka has consistently produced performances that belie his age.

Securing his future was always seen by fans as one of the priority tasks for the club this summer, ahead of any potential additions to the squad.

The England U-19 international has been at the club since the age of eight and has now made the most difficult transition in football by being a bonafide first-team player.

“London is my home. Arsenal my team,” Saka said on his Instagram page.

“That’s why I’m so happy to finally announce my contract extension.

“I love playing for this club and I’m looking forward to what the future holds. The hard work continues so I can continue living my dream.

“God is Great.”

Saka’s role in the team that Arteta named against Brighton is where one would imagine that the Spaniard sees the prodigy settling in the future.

The left of a midfield three, where Saka can be explosive in his attacking work while also providing us with technical security in possession saw him produce a stunning display in an otherwise poor result.

Wherever he plays, it will be a pleasure to see Saka develop at the club.
