Theo Walcott puts Arsenal form down to a conversation with “very high” member…
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has put his transformation this season down to a conversation he had with a “very high” member at the club.
Walcott, who was frozen out of the Arsenal side at the back-end of last season, was left out of Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad which summed up his campaign.
However, a summer of hard work and public backing from Arsene Wenger has seen a new Walcott emerge this season and the stats prove it.
“Having spoken to a very high member at Arsenal, it hit me really,” Walcott told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Jermaine Jenas.
“I’ve completely changed my attitude and how I approach everything. My best football comes out when I’m aggressive and when I’m angry.”
Walcott has scored five goals in all competitions this season, four less than he managed in the whole of last season.
It looks like the 27-year-old has a point to prove, and that can only be a good thing for us. Check out his take on what’s changed at the 03:45 duration in the clip above.
