Mesut Ozil seemed to be complaining to Emre Can…

The tunnel cam from behind the scenes at Anfield during our 4-0 thrashing there was always going make for interesting viewing given the noises coming out from the club.

For the first time in a long time, Arsene Wenger questioned the commitment level of the team after Liverpool dominated us in every department.

Players were caught having a conversation while goals were going in, the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t bother running back after losing the ball, it was an utter mess.

Wenger also had to shoulder some blame for his preposterous team selection, with the likes of Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal playing out of position while Alexandre Lacazette was dropped.

After the defeat, Mesut Ozil swapped shirts with fellow Turk and Germany teammate Emre Can, and the two were deep in conversation.

Ozil looked crestfallen, a demeanour of a man who probably knew he’d be heavily blamed for the defeat and dreaded entering a shattered dressing room.

The performance at Anfield was one of the worst we’ve seen under Wenger and it’s reopened all wounds about the club’s ambition as well as the position of the manager.

It seems the next few days in the window will define the mood among the fans, with the team set for a cold reception against Bournemouth.
