Arsenal boss Unai Emery reveals that he told Sead Kolasinac after the Bosnian full-back made a costly mistake to rob us of a chance of getting all three points at Old Trafford for the first time in 12 years.

We went into the break level after a somewhat even first half, but as has been the case this season, we returned to the pitch a transformed team to dominate the match.

Alexandre Lacazette, who started on the bench against Man Utd, came on to grab his seventh goal of the season and leaving us close to breaking that annoying hoodoo.

However, within a matter of seconds, a lapse in concentration in our own box from Koslinac allowed Jesse Lingard to pounce and poke the ball home.

It was a goal completely of our own making and one that eventually cost us two points. According to Emery, the 25-year-old came into the dressing room at full-time with his head down, and our head coach had some choice words for him.

“[I am] Not frustrated,” Emery said about the result to BT Sport.

“For example, he was coming in at the end of the match, Sead Kolasinac, with his head looking down, but I said to him, Sead you had a very good match, offensively you give us a lot of circumstances.

“It can happen this action in defence, but you need to continue and most of all, be positive and learn from this action.”

Each week we’re not only learning about our team on the pitch, but we’re also getting an insight into how Emery deals with specific situations.

For example, when that Lingard goal went in, the 47-year-old made sure his feelings were expressed on the touchline as he looked on in disbelief.

We’ve been used to a manager in Arsene Wenger who very rarely expressed frustrations towards his players when they made errors on the pitch.

It’s a welcome change.
