Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun is enjoying a productive start to his Middlesbrough loan spell after bagging another assist for the Championship side.

Balogun arrived at the Riverside Stadium last month after Arsenal agreed a six-month loan spell in the Championship would be crucial for his development.

The 20-year-old has proven that he’s levels above U23 football after breaking the all-time goalscoring record in the Premier League 2 league.

He has struggled to make an instant impact in the brief appearances he made for us, but it seems things are starting to pick up for him.

Crucially, Balogun started in Saturday’s 4-1 against Derby and these next few months will determine to what extent he’ll be involved with Arsenal next term.

At the moment, Balogun will be the lone striker in the squad come June with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract this summer.
