Arsenal’s pre-season tour has begun as the boys set up camp in Los Angeles…

Arsenal have landed in California and the hard work in pre-season begins as Unai Emery puts the boys through their paces in sweltering conditions.

The 25-man squad will be training twice-a-day during their three-week stay in the States which will include four gruelling matches.

Our first game takes place in the early hours of Tuesday morning against Colorado Rapids, the Kroenke-owned MLS outfit. We then take on Barcelona and Fiorentina in a matter of days before finishing our US tour against former European Champions Real Madrid.

With no new signings away with the squad apart from 18-year-old Gabriele Martinelli from Brazil whose involvement for next season is yet to be confirmed, it will be interesting to see how many youngsters make an impression.

The likes of Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Tyrese John-Jules are away with the first-team sqaud and all three are highly rated.

Also, with Freddie Ljungberg now apart of the first-team set-up, they have a direct route into Unai Emery’s plans given the Swede’s work with the development squads in recent years.

Check out the video above from the team’s first day of training in LA.
