Tony Adams’ Granada side hosted Real Madrid last week as they faced the realisation of relegation, though it was an incident on the bench which caught the camera’s attention.

Adams has been a running joke in the football world since he took over the role at Granda given his unorthodox method of managing football clubs.

While it may be slightly amusing on social media, what is shown in the clip above is very uncomfortable to watch given how highly we regard Adams as a club legend.

Real Madrid stars Isco, Marcelo and Karim Benzema are seen openly mocking the former Arsenal skipper as he barks out instructions to his team.

Isco goes a step further by shouting condescending comments at Adams: “Waiter! One Coca-Cola!”

For a player who’s a relative novice in the game, showing a lack of respect to a man who’s etched in history as one of football’s finest defenders is rather disgraceful.

Operating with a degree of class has never been something we associate with a club like Real Madrid, but what the clip above shows is beneath even their standards.
