Wenger’s 20 years: Evey defeat is a scar…

Arsene Wenger celebrates 20 years in charge of Arsenal and there are tribute coming his way from every direction as the Frenchman reaches this significant landmark.

Wenger sat down with NBC Sports for a documentary set to be aired this weekend ahead of our trip to Burnley, and the boss summed up his thoughts after two decades in charge.

As the questioner mentioned that he sees Wenger constantly in anguish on the sideline, Arsenal’s longest serving manager succinctly concluded how attached he feels to the club.

“You look at me suffering and you’re right, of course, I suffer,” Wenger said.

“Look, see my heart… every defeat is a big scar.”

Despite the frustrations he has caused over the past decade, one cannot deny that the boss has done what he’s felt is in the best interests of the club at all times.
