West Ham have clinched the signing of Jack Wilshere…
West Ham United have announced the signing of Jack Wilshere after beating off stiff competition from the likes of Fenerbahce, Wolves and Crystal Palace.
Wilshere announced last month that he was set to depart the club ending his 17-year association with Arsenal, following a conversation with boss Unai Emery.
The 26-year-old was informed that he didn’t fare heavily in Emery’s plans next month and while a deal remained on the table, Wilshere took it upon himself to leave.
While he hasn’t been short of offers, Wilshere has once again chosen to join a club close to his heart given that his family are West Ham supporters.
I’m sure many have already seen a young Wilshere donning the West Ham strip before he joined the Gunners academy at the age of nine.
With a manager like a Pellegrini coupled with West Ham’s willingness to invest this summer, this could work out to be a decent move for the England international.
I for one had hoped he’d remain in the Premier League so that we could regularly keep up to date with progress or lack thereof.
Thanks for everything, Jack. We’ll never forget that night against Barcelona!
