Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reveals That He Was Close To Joining Arsenal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked to Arsenal a number of times, including the infamous occasions when he turned down a trial from Arsene Wenger at the age of 16 stating: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn’t do auditions.”

In a recent interview with CNN, Ibrahimovic claimed that while a move to the Premier League is now unlikely at this stage of his career, he was close to joining Arsenal. The Swede doesn’t specify when exactly this potential move may have occurred, but it shows that Wenger’s always been an admirer of the PSG star.
