Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Serie A giants with the deal set to be officially announced, according to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset.

Ramsey has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks with his contract set to expire in June, the 28-year-old is free to sign with foreign clubs.

It has been reported that European giants such as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain were also keen to secure the services of Ramsey, but it seems they’ve missed out on the race.

According to the rules, Ramsey is free to negotiate with foreign clubs from January 1st, though one imagines the club gave him permission to seek a new club once they withdrew his contract in October.

There were some suggestions that a move in this window was possible with Juventus prepared to pay £7million, however that was never an option for us given the lack of opportunities to find an adequate replacement.

Whether or not the above report is true, Ramsey’s Arsenal career is months away from ending and he’ll go down as a wonderful servant of the club.

The former Cardiff man came off the bench to ensure our New Year’s Day win over Fulham and his commitment levels haven’t dropped despite his impending departure.

Many will debate his ‘legend’ status, but nobody can take his achievements away and we’ll never forget how he ended our painful trophy drought in 2014.
