Arsenal’s Welsh star Aaron Ramsey spoke to Sky Sports News HQ this week regarding a number of topics with the 25-year-old expressing his sadness at Danny Welbeck’s latest setback.
Welbeck suffered what looked to be an innocuous knock to the knee after making an awkward tackle on Bacary Sagna against Manchester City. However, it was later revealed that he’d suffered severe ligament damage and will be out for nine months
“I have spoken to him and obviously, he is very disappointed and gutted,” Ramsey was quoted as saying on Sky Sports News HQ.
“I’m gutted for him as well but I am sure he will back from it stronger and I hope he has a speedy recovery.”
Ramsey also spoke about the “missed opportunity” felt by the squad this season after losing the title to Leicester City, and also endorsed Jack Wilshere’s likely inclusion in the England squad with the two set to go head-to-head in France.
