Ivan Gazidis Avoids Answering Supporter’s Question About Last Summer’s Window

Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis sat with a number of supporters to hold his annual AGM with the Arsenal Supporters Trust and was grilled on a number of topics.

Those that attended the event were frustrated at the little time which was allocated to the questioning of Gazidis, with the host Tom Watt taking up most of the scheduled hour.

However, Moh from ArsenalFanTV was first up to ask his question and wanted answers as to why we were the only team in Europe’s top five leagues not to sign a single outfield player last summer.

According to the popular fan, “time has shown that to be an incorrect decision” given that we ended the campaign without silverware.

Gazidis evaded the question as he so smoothly does and instead pointed out that with every decision the club makes during a particular window, a certain risk is always taken.

“We’ve signed Granit (Xhaka) now, it’s still difficult,” Gazidis went on to explain.

“I don’t know if that’s going to work out or not.”

While Gadizis must be commended for his bravery in facing up to fans each year, there is little point in these events if fans are not allowed to ask questions freely and frequently.
