Arsenal fans are no strangers to making new signings feel at home with a new chant, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck enjoying specific adulation from the terraces.

Alexandre Lacazette, our record signing, has already made his debut and netted his first goal two minutes into his first appearance.

However, it seems like his Arsenal inauguration is now complete with the away fans settling on a chant for him which wrung out at the away end at the Bet365 stadium.

Lacazette almost repaid the faith after he smashed the ball into the roof of the net to bring us level, only for the lines to wrongly rule the goal out for offside.

The Frenchman showed in that split second that he only needs a moment to score a goal, pouncing on a loose to fire it past Jack Butland.

Just why Arsene Wenger hauled him off for Theo Walcott while we were searching for a goal was rather bizarre, and that substitution seemed to take the sting out of our game.

It does seem as though many of our midfield players are still adjusting to Lacazette’s game, given that we now have a quick forward who can receive the ball early.

We’ve had two rather indifferent displays in the Premier League, but Lacazette has been the bright spark in both games.
