Emile Smith Rowe looks set to return shortly after the restart…

Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe looks set to return shortly after club football restarts next month after undergoing groin surgery to repair a tendon in September, The Evening Standard reports.

Smith Rowe had been managing his groin problem since last spring and while undergoing a warm-down at Old Trafford following our 3-1 defeat, the England international aggravated the problem.

The club decided that it was time to tackle the issue head-on and the 22-year-old went under the knife, leaving us a man short in the forward department for the first half of the season.

In the initial statement following his operation, the club stated that he would return to full training ‘in December’ but didn’t specify a date.

According to the report above, Smith Rowe will travel with the squad for their warm weather camp in Dubai on December 4th and the expectation is that he will be back in full training following that trip.

Arsenal will stay in Dubai for 10 days, a trip which includes friendlies against Lyon and AC Milan.

If the timelines are accurate, it means Smith Rowe would likely only miss one Premier League game after the restart and will hopefully be available for the trip to Brighton.

Smith Rowe was our second-highest goalscorer last season and will be a welcome addition to the squad which will be in need of an injection upon the restart.
